A5 - Strengthening the interlinkages with all relevant actors

The objective of this activity will be to prepare non-specialist sensitization support. The first step will consist of identifying and confirming the ministerial counterparts of the CPs (political level, chief of staff, High Civil servants, etc). The second step will be to draft tailored pieces of training for high-level civil servants (service directors). The focus will be on the key aspects to be considered while tackling disasters at the national strategic level and on methods to ensure effective coordination at the international level.

The objective of this activity will be to enhance the awareness and engagement of citizens in disaster risk management. This will be achieved by the organization of a series of workshops led by individuals with extensive field expertise. The focus will be on sharing success stories and introducing role models to generate interest in and enthusiasm for involvement in disaster prevention and management. A key identified target is university students, who may be encouraged to volunteer or pursue a career in this field. Additional workshops will be dedicated to cross-cutting issues such as climate change adaptation and women’s protection. Professionals with relevant and demonstrated expertise will be invited to share their experiences in these specific domains.
