From September 25th to 27th, 2023, in Nouakchott, Mauritania, the collaborative PPRD Med mission had a set of objectives:

  1. Clarify PPRD Med's Mission: The primary objective of this mission was to provide a clear and comprehensive explanation of PPRD Med's core purpose. This entailed elucidating its primary goals, outlining the strategies employed to achieve them, and articulating its overarching mission. The aim was to ensure that all stakeholders involved gained a thorough understanding of the mission's purpose and significance.

  2. Explain Workpackages (WPs): A significant portion of the mission was dedicated to offering detailed insights into the various tasks within PPRD Med, referred to as Workpackages (WP1 to WP5). This involved clarifying the scope of each task, delineating responsibilities, and outlining specific activities associated with them. The objective was to provide a transparent view of PPRD Med's operational framework.

  3. Comprehend Mauritanian Civil Security: The mission aimed to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the Mauritanian Civil Security, encompassing its organizational structure, operational procedures, and risk management practices. This understanding was pivotal in fostering effective collaboration and synergy between PPRD Med and the Mauritanian Civil Security.

  4. Discuss Priorities: Another significant aspect of the mission was engaging in substantial discussions with the Mauritanian Civil Security. These discussions centered around identifying the highest-priority concerns and requirements of the Mauritanian Civil Security. This approach enabled PPRD Med to concentrate its efforts on addressing the most urgent issues and challenges faced by its Mauritanian counterparts.
